Adventure Director
The High Adventure Director is responsible for planning, supervising, and delivering safe, engaging, and challenging high adventure programs at Camp Barstow. This role provides leadership to 1-2 High Adventure Staff, ensures compliance with safety standards, and creates memorable outdoor experiences that promote skill development, teamwork, and Scouting values. The High Adventure Director serves as a mentor and role model while overseeing merit badge instruction, adventure activities, and risk management for participants.
Adventure instructor
High Adventure Staff are responsible for delivering safe, fun, and engaging high adventure activities at Camp Barstow. Staff members assist with merit badge instruction, lead outdoor skills and challenge activities, and model Scouting values while providing Scouts with memorable experiences. High Adventure Staff work under the direction of the High Adventure Director to ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Scouting America standards.
