Two of our popular merit badge bundle programs at Camp Barstow are focused on shooting sports. In Barstow Marksman Scouts learn Rifle Shooting and Shotgun Shooting merit badges over 2 1/2 days of their week of camp. Archery and tomahawk throwing are part of our Barstow Frontiersman program that also includes Indian Lore and some handicraft merit badges. On of the popular twilight activities is cowboy action shooting. This new features includes 4 different firing positions using a variety of firearms including a lever action rifle, revolver and coach shotgun. When added with the cowboy setting and character actors on staff this is a don’t miss activity for your week at camp.
