We still have limited availability in all four weeks of summer camp at Camp Barstow. If your unit is ready to put down a $100 deposit and claim a campsite you have until February 1st to do so. Afterwards you will need to pay a per Scout deposit. This year we have troops coming from as far away as Alabama and Florida to experience our bundle program, great facilities, and ideal spot on beautiful Lake Murray.

5 Reasons To Pick Camp Barstow

Recently we shared 5 reasons to pick Camp Barstow in a series of emails. You can revisit those emails as you look to make a decision for 2023. We have also been written up recently in Scout’s Life Magazine and the Bryan on Scouting blog.

1. Our innovative Barstow Bundles which recreated how a camp can be run are a Scoutmaster favorite.

2. When class is over our Fun After 4 PM schedule means your Scouts can go have fun with a buddy instead of being in merit badges all day like school.

3. One of the things that we are known for is Our Staff & Scout Spirit. We have large number of returning staff every summer and our campfire and dining hall songs are amazing.

4. Nobody has to sleep in a canvas wall tent at Barstow. Our Modern Camp Facilities included Adirondacks in every campsite and an air conditioned dining hall.

5. Every day we make sure to build in some Scoutmaster Fun so that the adults at Barstow get to be kids again.
