Baden Powell Scouts Come With Their Buddy To Camp
During weeks 3 (July 4-10) and 4 (July 11-17) we have availability in our Baden Powell troop! This is an opportunity for your Scout and a buddy to come to camp without the traditional troop structure. At camp we will have the leadership set up and the Scouts will form a provisional troop for the week. The Scouts will get to participate in all the regular camp activities and merit badge instruction. The cost of this experience is $385. If you register and pay in full prior to April 1st you qualify for the Early Bird discount of $25 off.
Our Baden-Powell program is not meant to replace the mandatory leadership requirements for bringing a troop to camp. We strongly encourage any group of 3 or more Scouts from the same trop to come with an adult volunteer to help provide leadership. We have seen that Scouts with adults tend to have a better experience especially after 4 PM when the camp schedule is less structured. Our goal is for every Scout to have a successful week at camp. If a registered and trained adult leader is willing to come volunteer and help serve as an Assistant Scoutmaster to the Baden Powell troop for one of these weeks please reach out to the Camp Director (firstname.lastname@example.org). The camp may waive your registration fee for the week if you serve in that voluntary role.
During the registration process if you get hung up please don’t worry. We have a little bug in the registration system that might require following back up with us via email. You can email Scott Hagler (email@example.com) in order to schedule your Scouts merit badge bundles and make payment (over the phone if necessary with a card).
