When the pandemic forced Camp Barstow to go offline in the summer of 2020 our Ranger and Properties Committee saw a rare opportunity to get some projects done at camp. Thank you to the volunteers, units, and donors that made these projects possible. Every month the Barstow Bears spend a Saturday at camp building new features. Their decade long service to Barstow has blessed us with awesome facilities. In 2020 we have also welcomed William McCormick as the new Camp Ranger. His energy, work ethic and social media savvy have really helped make these months of the pandemic a blessing in disguise for the camp.
You are invited to come see all these changes and learn more about the fun we planning for ’21 at our Open House on Sunday, October 11 from 1-5 PM.

Dr. Jim McClinton says:
As a former volunteer and District Executive, I am overwhelmed with joy to see so many volunteers doing good turns; I am elated to see Camp Barstow being remodeled. Thank you Barstow Bears! As an old scout, I am so happy and can’t wait to visit Barstow for Staff Reunion or any other event that will allow me to visit. Yes, “A SCOUT IS HELPFUL!”
